Farewell to Zimbabwe

Reflection From Jodi
Well the time has come for us to head off on our way back home. In many ways we are sad to be leaving & would love to stay longer in this fantastic place. We have felt very at home here & despite all the hardships we have witnessed & experienced while we have been here we will be back. People are leaving this country in droves, we have found that it is a country in need of people to come here & help - just to love these people really does make all the difference in their lives. We have reflected constantly that if the people in Australia were to go through what these people go through everyday, they just wouldnt be able to cope. We are just so thankful to have had these experiences & thank you to everyone who has blogged with us along the way, it has been great to keep in touch & it is a huge encouragement for us to hear that people back there a thinking of us & praying for us.

Reflection From Andrew (Harry)
As I reflect over our Blog it makes me reminisce fondly on our time here in Zim. Time has just gone soooo fast, it only feels like we arrive last week yet we have witnessed and got involved in sooo many things. We are still exploring our part in Gods will and we are seeing more realistically were we fit. Our prayer before we left was to find our place in Gods will and that we would see what He has us doing in the future ... well I can confidently say that He has shown us a little bit more and boy are we excited. Thank you all for your support and encouragement through responding to our blogs and through your constant prayer we have been truly blessed. See you all in a week or so.

In His Service,

Jodi and Harry.

I miss you guys soo much, i have been laughing out loud while reading your blog this morning. I always thought jodie's fear of shark attack was funny so i can image the how much fun it would have been to go big game watching with her. But when it came to batering i am sure that those africans are wary even scared to deal with aussie's ever again.

I am so glad you got to enjoy some of Harry's natural habitat (5 star). It sounds like you will get home in good spirits and with full belly's.

God bless and we can't wait to see you.

We have been keeping up the prayer though, we are praying for your safe return and that everything you wanted, you got out of this trip, even if it means going back. We can't wait to see you upon you return.

Hi guys
that last photo looks more like the Hazza and Jodie we've come to know and love. Your blog has been awesome and it has given an excellent graphic dimension to your travelogue. Your heads will be full on your way home. Relax and God will work it all out. It's going to be great to have you back, and we look forward to hearing in church [and seeing] your experiences.

How's about those little African kids? Talk about melting and breaking your hearts?!!
Steve & Kristy took aleaf out of your book and went off to some lahdidah accomodation this weekend and left me on my own.

At the church meeting it was decided that Steve's youth pastor card was to be removed from him, so now he has to dress properly and today I'm taking him to Chermy to buy some closed shoes.
He now answers to the name "hey associate". He is now inflicted upon our congregation for 4 days a week. Many are in uproar but I think it will work out in the end.

Soon we have more people heading off into Misholand, Gav & Robyn, Paul, Fabian and Matt are heading off to Moldova, Wayne & Myra are in country already.
If we don't calm down with all this mission stuff its going to be just me and Steve left in church. [just think of all the table tennis we could play!!!]
Enjoy your flight home. Flight tip: as ridiculous as it looks, use your eye masks when it is sleep time [latest research]
But Jodie,t ake a pic of Hazza when he's asleep so we can use it in our new church directory.
onya.
much love
Stanley

Hi guys,

I just googled 'Willow park YFC zimbabwe' not really expecting to find much and i came across your blog and was greatly encouraged to hear about stuff at Willow Park and what you have were up to out in Zim!! I spent part of my gap year there (2002) when Rod Capon ran the centre, he is now in SA. I have heard little of what has been happening since...i would love to hear more about what is happening and plans to get camps etc going again, it is such a great gospel opportunity...you can contact me on js1228@bristol.ac.uk. I have alot of questions etc and would love to know what your links are and if you are planning to be involved in work in Zim in the future..

Thanks,
James (Bristol, UK)
